While in Okinawa I was part of a couple quilt groups. Basically we got together 20 women and each of us picked a quilt square we wanted to do, then made 20 of that square. On the “due date” we got together and exchanged squares so by the end of the meeting you have 20 different quilt squares to make your own quilt out of. I now would like to do a Misawa quilt group like this, so I’m looking for interested people!

Initially we’ll have a first meeting which will consist of everyone picking a square they would like to make and brain storming ideas. Depending on what the group decides, we should have 4-6 months to finish all the squares. We’ll also lay down the rules: how big the squares will be, what kind of fabric and interfacing to use, and putting names/dates/etc on them.
.
If you are interested please contact me. As soon as we have 20 women we will hold our first meeting. There are no fees to be in the group, the only thing you will spend with be the money to buy your fabric, etc for your squares!
